"Quatermass' Greatest Challenge"

Films: Quatermass and the Pit (1967)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Eldritch Location/Underground/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of large dogs.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Surprise! It was aliens that led to the genesis of the human race! And what’s more? They kind of hate us, even beyond the grave. And for Bernard Quatermass, this could be his most harrowing adventure yet!

History: Based on what we see, the Martians were huge jerks to themselves, cleansing their lands of any weak links just because. Speaking of just because, they travelled to Earth and altered some of the developing Homo Sapiens there so that they would have some control over us in the future. Alas, the bugs could not stand Earth’s atmosphere, and they all died. But their influence is just waiting to be dug up, and they'll control as many puny humans as they can...

Notable Kills: The influence they spread not only drives people mad, but melts a guy to the flesh at one point.

Final Fate: After tearing the town asunder and causing general chaos, the spirits of the Martians form into one giant satanic being hovering over the city. It is not Quatermass, but his friend who saves the day by throwing water and iron in its direction, sending it back into the Earth.

Powers/Abilities: Due to us having been tinkered with by the Martians, most humans can be manipulated and controlled by the Martians long after they're gone.

Weakness: Iron and water, like the Devil. The atmosphere killed them first.

Scariness Factor: 4-These beings immense power beyond death would have made them ten time scarier than they are, but their true forms kind of look like toy locusts. You could kick these guys over if they were alive and watch them desperately try to get back up. Sorry.

Trivia: -Another title for this film is "Five Million Miles to Earth".

-Production for this film began in 1961, but budget problems kept it from going anywhere until 1967.

1000 H-Bombs would just end the world right then and there.

Talk about "abusive precursors".

"Make way! Dead alien coming through!"

Wait, is that army official with them invaders?

Not very intimidating when compared to other satanic entities.

Zorak's cousin was far more sucessful.
